How it works:

If you are looking at getting your child some specialist intervention lessons we are happy to connect you with a Specialist Teacher who is appropriate for your child’s needs.

  • Contact us! We will need to know the following information in order to best assist you:
    1. The child’s age and year group
    2. The difficulties your child is facing
    3. Any relevant reports (diagnostic reports, dyslexia screenings, lucid tests, school reports).
    4. Where you are based and what school your child attends
    5. Your availability for lessons (Days, Times)

  • Once we have all the relevant information, Delia will try and organise a time to speak with you over the phone to hear your concerns and see how we can best support your child.

  • Delia will look at which Specialist Teacher is best suited to your child, your availability and your location.

  • We specialise in specialist long-term intervention, and many of our students are with their teachers for years.

  • Specialist Teachers can liaise with the SENCo at your child’s school (where appropriate) to ensure a successful learning outcome.

  • Specialist Teachers will give you regular feedback via email or phone (where appropriate) so intervention can be followed through at home.

  • Specialist Teachers are often have fully booked timetables, so lesson slots are like gold dust and go very fast, usually at the start of the academic year.

  • In the first instance, we will introduce you via email to the Specialist Teacher, and arrange a trial lesson on a particular date and time.

  • If the trial lesson is a success and all parties are happy, your child will be given a weekly in-term lesson slot in the Specialist Teachers timetable.

  • This lesson slot will be at the same time and day every week, during the child’s schools term time.

  • You will be asked to sign a consent form and terms and conditions, which explain that you will be invoiced termly for lessons, due at the beginning of each term.

  • We will ask for a 2 lesson deposit, that will be returned to you with a minimum of a half-term's notice.

  • Once all deposits and invoices have been paid, lessons can commence officially.
